The Minnesota FFA Alumni Association invites you to attend our Virtual Regional Development Conference. Join us virtually on January 29th, 2022 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The theme this year will be Strategic Planning. To register please fill out the registration form here. 

Minnesota FFA Alumni and Supporters Annual Conference

Our Annual Conference and Meeting will be held on March 5th 2022 at South Central College in Mankato.  We will have speakers, networking opportunities, and fun.  We look forward to see you all in person in 2022! We will be staying at Comfort Inn and Suites in Mankato, which is conveniently 1.5 blocks from South Central College. We have a block of rooms reserved for Friday night March 4th and Saturday March 5th, however the last day for the special rate is February 11th. When you go to register and pay, there is where you will select if you would like a hotel room. We will make the reservations if you register and pay by February 11th.

Alumni Business 101 Part 1: an overview of running the business side of your FFA Alumni and Supporters affiliate. Led by Stan Vander Kooi, Jim Burns, and Cara Soukup of the MN FFA Alumni Executive Team.

Understanding FFA Alumni: New to FFA? Need help understanding the ALPHABET soup? We’ll explore the structure and opportunities of FFA, how Alumni & Supporters fit in and what makes YOU a valuable resource! Led by Corynn Flood and Amanda Zeidler of the MN FFA Alumni Executive team.

FFA Member Strategic Planning: Brand New in 2022! A track just for current FFA members. This first session is on strategic planning, your priorities and goals are different than our Alumni folks so we created a workshop just for you. This workshop is on goal setting and how to reach your full potential. Led by past state officer TBD.

Strategic Planning: The session on strategic planning will cover how to properly set goals, how to inspire action and how to reach your organizations full potential. Lead by TBD

Alumni Business 101 Part 2: an overview of running the business side of your FFA Alumni and Supporters affiliate. Led by Tim Claus, Jim Burns, and Cara Soukup of the MN FFA Alumni Executive Team.

Opportunities for Regional Involvement: Do you often wonder “How can I be more involved with FFA beyond high school?” Maybe your kids were in FFA but you were not, maybe you are a young professional with an FFA background and want to learn more about the FFA Alumni at the local level. These ideas are more will be discussed during this session. Led by Russ Runck and Jeff Voss, MN FFA Alumni Regional Directors.

Grants & Scholarships for Alumni: Did you know you can apply for and get scholarships for your Alumni Affiliate?! Did you know you can even get a scholarship to pay for your $300 annual fee?! These opportunities and more will be discussed during this session. Led by Stan Vander Kooi, MN FFA Alumni treasurer.

FFA member- Get Involved- Stay Involved!: This workshop will go over how easy it is to stay involved with the FFA after high school. Did we mention as an FFA member you get 5 years of free membership to the Alumni?! Led by past state officer TBD.

The Mankato Experience

We have a block of rooms reserved at our hotel for Friday night and Saturday night, we will make your hotel reservations if you register and pay by February 25th. When you click the register and pay there is where you will select if or what nights you would like at the hotel.

Minnesota State FFA Convention

April 24-26 2021

Not only is this a time for today’s youth to be competing, but it is also a time for Minnesota’s FFA students, partners, and Alumni to gather and reflect on the past year’s accomplishments. The 2022 Minnesota State FFA Convention will be held the week of April 24-26 2022. More details will be released as the date gets closer.

President’s Circle Leadership Training

The purpose of President’s Circle is to enhance supporters leadership skills and make a positive difference for Minnesota agriculture. The program focuses on mentor leadership, strategic planning, conflict resolution and teamwork. A systematic, statewide leadership enhancement program. FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The goal of the President’s Circle is to cultivate those leadership skills already rooted within former FFA members and supporters.

President’s Circle will be held December 10 -11, 2021 at the Oliver Kelly Farm in Elk River. For more details and to register contact Fred at 507-272-3936.

We will be hosting a free ‘How To’ webinar on How to Start and FFA Alumni Affiliate. This event will take place virtually on Thursday December 16th at 5:30pm.
