How to Support your local FFA Chapter

Scholarships and Grants:

Alumni and Supporters Chapters are eligible to apply for National and Minnesota FFA Alumni and Supporters grants and scholarships specific to Alumni and Supporters Chapters. For more information click the ‘Grants and Scholarships’ tab.

Coaching Career and Leadership Development Events:

Alumni and Supporters fill many roles that support and strengthen agricultural education and the FFA Chapter by coaching CDE’s (Career Development events) and LDE’s (Leadership Development Events).

In the video below, Jeff Voss (former Agricultural Educator) provides a step-by-step explanation of how to be a CDE Coach for your local FFA Chapter CDE Teams.

Fundraising:

Minnesota FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapters work with their local FFA Advisor and Chapter members to fundraise so that students can attend local, region, state and national conferences and conventions, and other member opportunities throughout the year. Scholarships and financial support awarded through Alumni and Supporters help remove barriers to student participation. Recent changes in education funding have directly impacted how local FFA Chapters disperse funding which adversely affects a local chapters’ ability to fund individual students seeking greater opportunities. Tightened school district budgets along with these new regulations make an Alumni and Supporters Chapter, as a recognized non-profit, more valuable than ever.  Working with the local Agriculture educator and FFA Advisors, Alumni and Supporters can become the financial steward for the FFA Chapter.
