Throughout each year many businesses and organizations offer grants and financial assistance to support agricultural education, FFA Chapters, and the FFA Alumni and Supporters, below are a few provided through National FFA.

National FFA Scholarships and Grants

2024 National FFA Grants

Give Back to Your Roots grants can be used to fund FFA student chapter affiliation fees, plant science-based educational opportunities or to purchase necessary supplies and materials for local agricultural education programs. 2024 Grant deadlines are March 1, June 1 and Sept. 1; each grant application can receive up to $5,000.

Give Back to your Roots Grant (Supported By Nutrien Ag Solutions)

Legacy Grants, sponsored by Tractor Supply Company, can be used to create an FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapter, improve the quality of existing FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapters or to provide more opportunities for partnership between FFA Chapters and Alumni and Supporters Chapters. Improving grants can be used to fund alumni and supporters annual fees. Partnering grants can be used by the state alumni and supporters associations to fund state and regional development conferences. Preference will be given to new applicants and projects with sustainable and impactful items. The 2024 Grant deadlines are March 1, June 1 and Sept. 1.

Culver’s Gives Back

State Greenhand Leadership Conference (SGLC)

The State Greenhand Leadership Conference is an event designed for first year FFA members. It is a five day conference that offers students an opportunity to learn more about the National FFA Organization, discover their potential as a student leader, meet people their age from across the state of Minnesota. State Leadership Conference for Chapter Leaders (SLCCL)

State Leadership Conference for Chapter Leaders is a five day conference that focuses on the member’s ability to serve on the chapter level. Aspects of leadership and personal growth are also covered. This conference is designed primarily for high school sophomore and juniors. Washington Leadership Conference Scholarship

The Minnesota FFA Foundation and Minnesota FFA Alumni and Supporters offer scholarships to students each year who wish to attend the Washington Leadership Conference.

  • $550 Scholarships provided by the Minnesota FFA Foundation through the Star Partner Program
  • $200 Scholarships provided by the Minnesota FFA Foundation
  • $550 Scholarships provided by the Minnesota FFA Alumni and Supporters
  • $200 Scholarships provided by the Minnesota FFA Alumni and Supporters

*Applying for a WLC scholarship does NOT register you for the trip. You need to complete the registration process through the Minnesota FFA Association. Applications are due December 1st each year, please check back at a later date for applications.  

Qualifications

  • Scholarships are only available to FFA members traveling with the state lead group each year.
  • Recipients of the Alumni and Supporters scholarships must be from a chapter whose local Alumni and Supporters has state and national Alumni and Supporters affiliation.

Application Materials

Application materials are due in December  each year. All application materials must be submitted at one time. Do not submit the application unless all of the materials are complete.

All applicants must submit:

  • A resume. Save your resume in the following format: first name-last name-resume.doc.
  • 100-150 word statements to each of the questions on the application.

Alumni and Supporters sponsored scholarship applications must submit:

  • List Alumni and Supporters name, Alumni and Supporters President’s name and answer additional questions.

The FFA Alumni offers two $500 grants to FFA Chapters to take an Administrator to National FFA Convention.
